Death?

It's a horrible thought, but sometimes i wonder

"What would happen if I died? Who would care? Would it only be the people who I expected to care, or would there be some random people who I barely know?"

It's basically pretty much the questions of my importance in other people's eyes. I mean, sometimes I wish i could have some weird device that played "What If?" scenarios and play my death or funeral. " I'd want to know who would truly care? Who would it affect? Would the lives of the people who i'm not especially close to be changed? Would they even care?

I guess that's life---You never know how it's gonna end until it happens

High School Hits. Hard.

So, today's my second day in Santa Breezy for two weeks. It's been fun, even though it's been like less than 24 hours. This year, i'm in the high school group. When we went around talking about ourselves and like what grade we're in it hit me.

I'm a freshman.

School starts in 16 days.
That's almost only two weeks.

I will be walking around on a high school campus. Taking classes at a high school. Eating at a high school (anywhere i want for that matter). I'll be in freaking marching band.

Now, everything counts.

Towards college.

Towards a future.

Towards a Job.

Towards a LIFE.

HAI AGAIN.

Movie Review: 500 Days of Summer
This. Movie. Was. Really. Good. Seriously. It had a great script, great feel, great everything. There were parts of the movie that made your heart warm up, and parts that made you want to keel up and die. Great emotions. Funny too. Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are not a force to be reckoned with. :P Fantastic movie, although the ending left me slightly unsatisfied. :/ I give it an A-.

Okay, so there's 19 days 'till school. That terrifies me.

Allegedly "Quick" Update

HELLO. I haven't blogged in seriously a LOOOOONG time. Like, last blog was fourth of July. Now it's the...16th (?)

Many things have happened.

1. First Session ended at camp. D: all the people were so awesome, and i'm gonna miss them. Still, i'm glad that we didn't lose TOO MANY people. Beach day was sad and epic. I had a chicken dog. This "no red meat" thing is actually going along swimmingly. Nobody got stung by a sting ray this time! :D hoorah. complete success.

2. Went out with Libbz to the mall and got some HP garb to wear to the MIDNIGHT SHOWING. I got a Gryffindor shirt and she got a Slytherin one. I also got blood pops, which are lollipops--the strawberry variety--that turn your tounge BRIGHT red. It's pretty epic. I also got a Gryffindor crest necklace that I put my keys on. Finally, I got some 3D red and blue sunglasses, which are epic to a whole new degree.

3. Went with Libby, her mom, and her aunt to THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING OF HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. It was so fun. We were in the middle for the scale of the "People Who Wear Too Much Harry Potter Stuff Just For The Movie" And We just wore shirts. There were some people wearing Hogwarts-like uniforms (I ACTUALLY SAW SOMEONE WHO WAS DRESSED TO BE IN RAVENCLAW WHICH MADE ME REALLY EXCITED BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO DRESS IN STUFF THAT'S NOT A MAIN CHARACTER OR SOMEONE IN GRYFFINDOR OR SLYTHERIN) and then some really crazy fans who wore cloaks and such. There was this one lady who wore an extremely convincing McGonnagal costume. I also brought my awesome wand that Maya carved last year. I'm sure everyone was jealous of it.

4. Second Session started. I. MISS. THE. SNARKY. HUMUS. FLINGING. STONEFISH. OF. PUDDING. This new group doesn't get along as well as we did first session. There are actual cliques and it makes me want to tear my hair out. Like seriously, some of the people in my group are real, for lack of a better word, douchebags.

Well, I saw a movie so y'all know what that means....
MOVIE RATING TIME.

Harry Potter And the Half Blood Prince.
I LOVED it. Despite how confusing it seemed, I stayed on track the whole time and surprisingly, did not get confused at all. There were parts that had you laughing really hard, completely terrified in your seat, and tearing up (well not me tearing up). It's plotline was very exciting and it kept my attention. The effects weren't corny, and the movie kept me on the edge of my seat. I was actually a HUGE fan of the Ron-Lavender-Hermione love triangle. Like in the scenes when Hermione sees them kissing or like PDAing or something, i actually developed a huge like hollow feeling in my gut and i felt SO bad for her. Emma Watson is pretty brilliant. Every actor portrayed their character so well. I'd see it again--in fact, I think I am seeing it again tomorrow.

dcfc ;D

So, today, July 5th 2009, was pretty FREAKING AWESOME.

Well, it started with Libby, her mom, and me drivin' down to the good ol' hollywood bowl for some death cab for cutie rehearsal.
we get there and it says: CLOSED REHEARSAL. D:

we were slightly sad that we weren't allowed to see them and sit in the audience. We automatically assumed that they were snobby. first we tried sneaking around to one of those towery things behind the café but then we chickened out after they played i will posess your heart. we ended up having a pretty swell time goofing off in the lounge and backstage. making coffee and sugar water and tea. cool stuff like that. A few times while walking around, some of the band memebers walked past us, sadly we didn't know their faces well, so it was like "HEY LOOK THAT GUY LOOKS LIKE HE COULD BE IN THE BAND"

Then at the lunch break we got to go on stage. We checked out the cool lights that light up the bowl (ends up its a bunch of LED bulbs screwed onto the back of the pannels. We saw the band from afar. Chris Walla (guitar) had a bright red jacket on. Nick Harmer (bass guitar) had a beard and brown cordaroys and deep purple nikes. Jason McGerr (drums) was wearing glasses, an olive green shirt, and i think a beanie (unsure) along with his glasses.

Then there's this little biddy named Ben.
Ben Gibbard.
Lead singer of death cab Ben.

Libby and I were slightly upset that we weren't meeting any, then suddenly Ben walked past libby. Her mom, while applying chapstick waved him over. HE TALKED TO US AND SHOOK OUR HAND. he was talking about how he wished he had the strings and stuff in the back to begin with because it sounded good. i agreed. he was super nice. He was wearing a white shirt. his armpit was blue haha. paint or über nice.

We were so giddy after that.
The concert's tonight. Opening for DCFC is something and Tegan and the New Pornographaers. one of their songs was on chuck :D

Pretty excited. More on that after.

MJ

Michael Jackson.
Is dead today.
June 25, 2009.
He was 50.
Fifty.
Five-Zero.

Please, a moment of silence as we remember the accomplishments of the King of Pop.

Billie Jean. Smooth Criminal. Beat It. THRILLER.
The Moonwalk.
Over 750 MILLION hits sold.
THIRTEEN GRAMMYS
13 NUMBER ONE singles.

And I can't believe how badly everyone judged him. We don't even know for sure if he did all those things that he was accused of, and even if he did, there are PLENTY more people who have done far worse things and not been punished at all. Apparently, when he was supposed to have an interview a couple years ago, he canceled last minute. The Interviewer went to his hotel, and found MJ on the couch in a fetal position with the blinds closed. How can people stand to judge someone so far that they are afraid of the world. Scared of what will happen if they walk outside.

Now we bow our heads in sorrow as we remember the King of Pop. He will live forever through my, and plenty other fans', headphones

FEERST DEY OV KAHMP

SENIOR OUTPOST IS A STATE OF MIND, NOT A GROUP.

Counselor: STEVE!!! :D He's duper awesome. He's a vegetarian. what an inspiration. He plays like tons of instruments (his day job is playing and teaching some). He's really funny. Glad I got him. AC is Charlee. She's cool, don't know her well. SHE WAS IN PRINCESS DIARIES II AND STILL GETS $ FOR IT. (she knew the director).

Group: All 13 are senior outpost, i'll try to name all of them
  • Ally Thornton
  • Hannah Leis
  • Lena Novak
  • Shannon Kennedy (something like that)
  • Yari Something
  • Will Gifford
  • Me
  • Maya Dunn
  • Macall Conroy
  • Josh Something
  • Joe Something
  • Richard Something
  • OH NO I FORGOT THE LAST ONE D: i feel bad
Noah ain't in my group, he's in Bristol's (she is super awesome too, she was my bus driver 2 years ago. She drinks like two red bulls every day) I kind of feel bad for him, he has like NO friends in his group. lol.

We played RUN THE GAUNTLET which is a game involving foam dodgeballs and cones. Two teams, one throwing team, one running team. The cones are put in two lines to form a about 7 foot wide column. The runners run through the column of cones while the throwers pelt the dodgeballs at them. Obviously, the goal is to not get hit, but there's a catch. Even if it bounces or rolls, and hits you, you're still out. If you touch the ball, you're out. Epic. Fun.

We found a fort. Its...THAT way. -points in all directions-

Bus route Mon Wed Fri is pretty okay. consists of:
  • Me
  • Miriam Baha
  • Sammy something
  • L...something
  • Izzy (Isabella)
  • Ella
  • Liam
  • Alexander
  • Little Kid who i don't know their name
  • Andrew Ruskin
  • Other little girl who i don't know her name
  • oh...and starting next week...Ayman Baha -shudders- BLECH.
I can't have front seat this year cause Miriam has first priority for shotgun cause she's a JC. Darng it.

TOMORROW'S WINDSURFING. EPIC. EXCITED. YES.

It's so weird seeing former group y'rs being JC's and like pool staff. And Gary, an SC. crazy pants.

cahmp

TOM SAWYER DAY CAMP.
begins: tomorrow at 8.
driver: Brian (i think he's a newbie to TSC)

Seems like a lot of the older counselors have left to begin their lives, meaning tons of new counselors this year. I really hope i get Steve--one of the guys who have been their for like EVER. He plays like a ton of instruments and he's really cool.

movie rating: Food Inc.
This is one eye opener. It's motto: "You'll look at dinner the same way again." This movie told the story about how industry is making food, bigger, faster, and cheaper, which is killing us (the buyers) slowly. It showed secret cameras placed behind the scenes at meat slaughter houses. It told the story about how most of all the foods we eat are just re-assembled versions of corn, and how even the meat we eat eats corn (cows and stuff aren't supposed to eat corn--they are supposed to eat grass, and corn helps spread horrible diseases like E-ColIi)
HUGE EYE OPENER.
The film lived up to it's motto, i will never look at food the same way. I am actually considering becoming a veg head :D

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT, FROM YOUR HEAD TO YOUR FEET.
watch this movie. be shown the life behind the curtain hiding the horrible things being done in the food industry.

Get Back

Demi Lovato.
The cheesy (and by cheesy i mean smiles a lot. heh, remember the indian in dances with wolves named smiles a lot?) Disney teen pop sensation. She's an actor and singer. And most people I know don't really like her. Those people are so biased.

They are like "OH YEAH SHE'S THE UGLIEST ONE AND SHOWS TOO MANY TEETH WHILE SMILING AND OH GOD SHE'S SO ANNYONG UGHHH."

Lemme tell you something.
Demi Lovato is pretty much the ONE disney star i actually admire.

She sticks to her morals, has great talent as a music artist, as well as a singer, and most of all HASN'T BECOME COMPLETELY CORRUPTED AND SELF ABSORBED BY THE STARDOM. I mean seriously, i couldn't even compare her to Miley Cyrus, who is so vain and careless.

Also, Miley even made fun of Demi and Selena (selena is pretty okay too) in one of her web shows. Seriosuly, that tells you how nice Miley and her like 30 year old "best friend" are. Anyways Miley didn't even mention "Mandy (if that is your real name)" in that song See You Again when she's like "My BEST FRIEND LESLIE says she's just bein' Miley"

Also, Miley's music, EXCEPT FOR THE CLIMB WHICH I'M PRETTY SURE SHE TOTALLY DIDN'T WRITE (like she has the brain power to), is all like crap stuff that once again, she didn't write. "Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days." God she's stupid.

But Demi's music is actually really good. I know i'm going to have a bunch of people laugh in my face and say something like "HAHA YOU LIKE DEMI LOVATO'S MUSIC HOW LAME" but really, try listening to it. It ranges from sad hearfelt songs (with actual depth unlike miley's crap) all the way to loud "disney punk rock" music about how she doesn't want to turn into a star, and how she's still a normal person (who wears her converse with her dress. heh, great line)

I hope this little blog changed your mind about this star. If not, listen to her music. I GUAREANTEE that you will think it's better than Miley's "music." Hearing her music changed my mind, hope it changes yours.

SUMMER (sucks)

Summer. Fun in the sun. No school. Always with the friends. Running on the beach. Vacations to tropical islands. Yup, living the good life.

Not for someone named Liana Kindler.

Summer, so far, for her is like this. Wake up at 1-ish in the afternoon. Lay around until about 1:30. Get up and have some breakfa---lunch. Slack off (surf the web, watch tv, etc) until about 11. Begin F-R-E-N-D-S marathon. Go to bed around 3:30 AM. Repeat.

Let's face the sad truth.
Summer Blows.

Seriously. I haven't seen anyone other than Libby (WHICH WAS REALLY FUN BOTH TIMES.) or the fam bam since grad night. How pathetic. Well I'm duper excited for FNL tomorrow, even though it'll probably just be me, Libby, Kirstie, Umi, and Lauren. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. :P Just kidding, you guys are frigging sweet.

CAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMPCAMP!
Camp starts this coming Monday! Whoo hoo! I guess I get to be a smidge more social than I am already (haha, me. social.) Pretty excited to see everyone again, its been like a year. Don't know who i'm gonna get as a counsler (hopefully Steve or Christina). Nervous but excited (LIKE AT GRAD)

Saturday (yes I do know that this is totally not in order at all) I got a trumpet sectional meeting for marching band. Yes, that's right bring on the feather bucket hats and the uniforms! Well not really, but we're going over some basics and the music at the section leader's house. I feel kind of bad for putting everone through this huge hassle. But, sometimes camp gets in the way of important stuff (like band camp). I am actually sort of sad to miss band camp. Gosh I'm a nerd.

Oh jeez i just realized something.
I'm a freshman.
Oh man.
Freshman.
High School.
New Meat.
Fresh Start?

Oh Lord, save me now.

Sorry for this being really late.

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of the night in June
I Didn't know much of love, but it came too soon
And There was me and you, and then it got real blue
Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and
We would get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at our selves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

Dear Vitamin C,
Your sappy lyrics made me tear up on grad night. Thanks. I think the DJ was trying to kill all of us in the room. I'm surprised that the whole room didn't burst into tears. I mean, it IS the end for a lot of us. Like for Libby, it was the last year, no, the last few moments, that we were going to be students together. Also, what convinced you to write this song anyways? I mean, you guys probably didn't even all go to school together.

Sincerely (or at least until next graduation),
Liana

A FEW DAYS EARLIER:
Ok, grad was too important to skip out and blog about it like two days later, so I’m doing this blog prior to posting it on word (it’s 12:46 and the wi fi is off, which means no internet, ergo, no blogging). Grad was fun-ish. As I told Andrea, I was nervous but excited. Dress. Felita and Libbz had the same one. Oh well. Felita’s was a bit more awkward though, she sat DIRECTLY behind me. Doug and Alyssa screwed up their oratoricals COMPLETELY. oh crap, my eyes are getting all drifty, which means I need to sleep. FINISH TOMORROW(or not)! –pause at 12:50 for sleep-

OKAY WELL NOW...VERY LATER (as in not tomorrow) I gotta finish this blog. Grad ceremony was really long and really short at the same time. It seemed to go pretty quickly, the oratoricals dragged on and on. Nate and Sean's speeches were really good. Carrie's design was nice. McG's speech was decent. Asian guy's speech was hard to understand and slightly forgettable. The diplomas were trés lame. Like, they were smaller than the certificates. The water bottle cantene thing was....HEY SCHOOL WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE SPENT A LITTLE LESS MONEY ON WATER CONTAINER THINGS AND MORE ON LARGER DIPLOMAS?! Oh well, i guess its nice. I'll use it at camp. PS WHERE WAS DOWNEY? and i never got to take my picture with dr. mcdaniel and angee and lauren.

DINNER
Went to islands with Noah and his mom and the family. Our waiter was kind of weird. He used the word radicle. I ordered the maui (his suggestion) and it was yummy. TV with laker game was really far away, so Noah, being the lazy bum he was, wasted 99 cents on a phone app. I think in the end they tied (?) Or they won. YEAH THEY WON. Drove Noah over there.

GRAD PARTY
Grad party was okay. After going to about 23 of them last/this year, nothing is really exciting. Pictures we took were funny. Nate asking Eden to dance and her responding yes not knowing what she was agreeing to was priceless. (and no they didn't dance) Running around with Nate through the crowd of slow dancers DURING GRADUATION SONG (WAAAHHH) to look at all the people slow dancing and rate them was priceless. Blackjack. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Blackjack wouldn't let me freaking leave. Every time I tried to leave by putting all in, i ended up getting like a 20 or even a blackjack. I'M TELLING YOU IT WAS RIGGED. haha. I was actually oddly exhausted after and fell asleep right after doing that little paragraph blog. Graduation song went on. People slow danced. Nate and I did our "run through crowd and see everyone slow dancing." Song ended. People abandonned the teeny tiny dance floor. Doorway got clogged. Me and friendsies stayed and talked a little. Gave chunkie a hug (which never happens) Left when everyone was done saying goodbye. Libby drove me home. Almost hit a creeper cat.

THE END. TO THE CLASS OF '09, THE NEW HMS ALUMNI.

THE END

Today is grad. And the last day of middle school. And Lindsays birthday (more on that later on).

grad·u·a·tion
\ˌgra-jə-ˈwā-shən\
noun
1: a mark on an instrument or vessel indicating degrees or quantity ; also : these marks
2 a
: the award or acceptance of an academic degree or diploma b: commencement
3
: arrangement in degrees or ranks

Today's graduation will feature the SECOND definition of graduation. Oh jeez. Graduation. The end of middle school. I can't say that I'm 100% excited for high school. I can't say that I REALLY want to leave middle school. These three years that I've spent here I have taken for granted, and now, now, its over. The passing period Natelborg runs, the Wind Ensemble with Dr. McD, the annoying cafeteria lady with the glasses and high pitched voice that never lets you get away with anything, coach yelling at us to get our socks on, the timed runs. All of these are now just a memory from a distant time. Even though there were many horrible, boring, and horribly boring things, I will miss it very VERY much. The friends I've made here are pretty much the biggest bomb on the entire earth. I am SO SO SO SO SO SAD THAT LIBBY IS LEAVING US :[ I can't imagine school without her random-ness. So, yeah. Its the end. Not even the beginning of the end. The plain old end. But on a brighter note, every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end. Who knows what's in store at the good 'ol high school? I'm looking forward to all the adventures to come at SMHS. I'm sure it'll all be fun.

OK YESTERDAY WAS SPIRIT DAY AND WE WON AGAIN! Back to Back to Back. 3x FTW!

Lindsay's bday--
I got her present and her card. I hope she likes them. I am so trying to send her a text at 9 and if i forget i will be very angry.

More on grad later (seeing that it hasn't happened yet) I'm sure it will be a complete sob fest. I made a bet with Eden for 10 bucks that she'll cry. Imma win myself ten bucks today. hoorah. I can't believe its the end. June 11, 3:14 (OMG ITS PI) PM, Pacific Standard Time, I can't believe a year has gone by so fast.

GOTTA GO SHOWER FOR GRADUATION. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

UP

Okay, so i'm gonna do movie ratings now. SPOILER ALERT FOR UP. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

UP
Up was pretty freaking amazing. It had all good elements of a movie: Good Plot, Sweet Ending, Good Humor, Sappy Lines That Make You Tear Up, Sad Parts, And Evil Villan, AKA GPSEGHSLTMYTUSPEV. Confession: I cried in the very end when Old Guy was like "And I'm gonna award you with the most special badge ever, the Ellie Badge" and puts the grape soda pin on him. I teared up in the aging montage too. I am pathetic. I love Doug, he is so funny and i loved the part when he knocks on the door and was like "I was hiding under your porch because I love you" I was like AWWWWW. The whole theatre was like Aw. In a rating of 1-10 1 being crap 10 being amazing i give it an 11.

Ranting For Today
OMG I FREAKING HATE HATE HATE LITTLE CHILDREN WHO TALK BEHIND YOU AND THEN THEIR PARENTS DON'T MAKE AN EFFORT TO SHUT THEM UP. There was a little Mexican girl in back of me with the most annyoing high pitched voice on the fracking earth and she was like narrating th e whole thing. UGH I WANTED TO TURN AROUND AND SAY SHUT THE #$%@ UP OKAY!?!!! I think I actually whispered that under my breath about the 3436195732048 time she squeaked something. I had to turn around and glare (which couldn't be seen due to the 3D glasses) like a million times. I wanted to strangle her. And in this like super sad part that was all quiet there were all these little kids talking their fracking heads off. ugh.

So right now, the Tonys are on and they are having this part remembering important peope of Brodway who have died. Mom from parent trap (Natashia Richardson) was on in it and i was like AW YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DIED.

KAY BYE.

ITS STUDY FOR SCIENCE TIME. which means, TIME TO BLOG.

Reasons why I hate Nick Stonnington
  • He doesn't know who the Beatles are. Come on. And when we played some of them for him he said "They're not that good." Jeff said "COME ON YOU DON'T KNOW JOHN LENNON?!" Nick responded "You mean Jay Leno?" oh dear.
  • HE ALWAYS BLAMED ME AND MATT FOR THE MISTAKES HE MADE AND WHEN WE CORRECTED HIM HE BLAMED IT ON US. ugh.
  • Because of the above reason, HE NEVER IMPROVES ON THE MISTAKES HE HAS MADE. Okay, we got "Don't Know Why" like two months ago. When we FIRST read it, he didn't hold a note long enough so i said "Hey, remember to play that note longer than you think." He said "Oh, well you didn't hold it either." I argued and finally got him to say he'd practice it. Today was our last concert. The last time we played it at 5th grade orientation, about two months after he got it. HE STILL HASN'T GOTTEN IT RIGHT. And Matt and I have corrected him and corrected him and corrected him. Oy Vey.
  • Once again, he doesn't know who the beatles are, and doesn't like them.

MOVING ON. Today was the Awards Concert. Food was nummy. We played, I failed improv, nothing special. I won the directors award. I can't be 100% happy with winning though. I felt that others deserved it more than I did.

GOLDSTEIN HASN'T BEEN HERE IN A WHILE. YAHOOOO.

11 days.

Stolen

Okay. So, I'm stealing Lindsay's idea about the bullet points. Take that.

Moosik.

  • GREEN DAY ALBUM. 21st CENTURY BREAKDOWN. A-MAZE-ING. Best songs: Murder City, 21 Guns, ¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl), ¡Viva La Gloria! Not as good as some of their old albums, but its good enough to tie with American Idiot. iloveyougreenday.
  • Choir Concert Tomorrow. Me going? Iunno, I want to cause they're singing all you need is love. I don't know if i can. ONLY TIME WILL TELL
Televsion.
  • EYE-DOHL. finale. i missed it due to homework, so now i'm watching it right now. So far I've seen Adam's Mad World and His second one (iunno what it was called) and Kris's Ain't No Sunshine. I say so far they are tied. Mad world was very OKAY but Kris's was FREAKING AMAZING. Have I ever mentioned how much I want Kris's guitar? Well I want it. So, anyone thinking birthday gifts...that guitar would be nice. Second Kris song was pretty good. So far they are completely tied. Adam's third preformance. I really really liked it. Prolly gonna download it later. No offense Adam, but in Mad World, what was up with that coat. Reminded me of Neo's coat in Matrix. Kris was really good too. Pretty fair finale. I'm sure Adam's winning for popular vote, but preformance wise, pretty equal. Don't mock me. I really like Carrie Underwood's song for the like leaving song for Idol. Its so sad. Makes me very nostalgic feeling. Remdins me most of when allison left. so sad. EW TATIANNA.
  • GLEE ON TONIGHT! Looking Foward to it. Lauren Gottlieb (no idea on spelling), a former SYTYCD contestant is on it. She was one of my favorites. Very excited.
  • OH MY GOD SO MANY COMMERCIALS DURING IDOL. omg allison was in the audience for it. aww miss her. watching it now. wow, their cheer uniforms look like our schools. HAHA "you think this is hard? try being water boarded" Sad but funny. The kinda creeper guy in teh blue shirt in the teachers lounge hitting on the red head looks a little like eden's dad. OMG THE PRINCIPAL WAS IN CHUCK. HE PLAYED PEYMAN ALAHI THE "WOOKIE"
  • CHUCK. RENEWED. THIRD. SEASON. SIGNED. 13. MORE. EPISODES.
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! ASD;LFKNASIFNEOWANSDF. you have no idea how glad I am. NERD HERD PREVAILS. AND KUNG FU.
Bookies.
  • Finished Candle in the Wind. I thouroughly enjoyed it. It was really sad, but really good. A TEENY bit predictable, but all in all I was completely 100% satisfied in the end. Really really really liked it. Goes on my list of top 20 books probably. Only two books i have EVER read for school have made it there: This and The Cay.
  • I HAVE FOUND THE BOOK THEIF. WIN
  • John Green. New Book. Very Excited. Hank Green. Writing book. Equally as Excited.
The Net.
  • Nat Tran. Very funny.
  • John Green. Loved the question tuesday vid.
  • Loved the new phillinthecircle video. really intersting.
ABOUT ALL I CAN THINK OF NOW. bai.

somuchhappenedtodaywellnotreally,butigotalottosharesincelastblog.

otay. last blog was a WHILE back. as in like. a week ago. haha. not much exciting stuff happened that i have to share, so be prepared for boredom.
  • MANDAAA TURNED 14 THIS MONDAY. WOOO. that was important. she got hugs. hoorah?
  • KIRSTIE MADE IT TO FINALS FOR ORATORICALS YAYAYAYAY. alfred did no NONONONO. alyssa made it HELL NONONONO.
  • MOHTER'S DAY WAS THIS SUNDAY. i got a little drunk off of champagne. the fam bam and i (ma, pa, cousin, aunt, uncle) went to the ath (its at caltech) for brunch. happiness ensued. amazing food. i ate like 2345724 crab legs. BTW I LEARNDED SOMETHING. do not try oysters. taste like what you expect AKA what aquarium touch tanks smell like. in a bad way. which goes on to say, uncle paul said that he might be able to get me an internship at monterey bay aquarium. :D while i was drunk, i said something wrong on accident and laughed untill i cried. tears streaming down face. then we went home and i CREAMED aunt, mother, and cousin at scatteragories. yes. bow down.
  • started candle in the wind. good book so far. really sad. WHY ARE ALL THE BOOKS WE READ IN SCHOOL SO DEPRESSING. LIKE. HOUSE ON MANGO STREET, THE CAY, THE CLAY MARBLE, CALL OF THE WILD (kind of sad, mostly violent), ANNE FRANK, AND NOW THIS. wutever. most of them were pretty okay.
  • TOOK LAST HISTORY TEST FROM THE BOOK OTHER THAN THE FINAL TODAY. really easy. no more notes. except for epilogue. ugh. stupidstupidstupidstupid.
  • RANT ON STAR TESTING: okay, we had star testing last week. rant is about how much time they give. okay. its in parts. part one, then break for 15 min, then do part two, then go on to your classes. it starts at 8. it ends at 12:15. THATS LIKE 4 HOURS TO FINISH LIKE 60 QUESTIONS THAT FIRST GRADERS COULD ANSWER. >_< why is there no minimum day. its not like wer're retarded or anything.
  • CARVER CARNI. we played. i actually got acknowledged for playing a solo. :D kinda fun.
  • TRUMPET LESSON SUCCESS. thank you kirstie shih porter for making me practice. mr. bing said it was the best he's heard me play ever. now that's what i call some major progress.
  • SATURDAY: MANDA'S PARTAYY. gonna be movie marathon sleepover tastic mania. it will ALLEVIATE this boring week. parties act as ANTIDOTES to boredom. that is good parties. it might---cross that, WILL probably be a BEDLAM but thats not bad. every day with trail mix is a bedlam.
  • i tried to cajole my dad to let me have a unicycle. sadly, he said no. rats. if only my speaking were more GLIB, then maybe he'd say yes.
  • i pantsed manda yesterday. coach mirales gave me an INCESSANT lecture on how its sexual harassment and that i could be suspended. he was WAY too strident. i mean its only pantsing. -_- he's obviously not very INDULGENT to teeny tiny mistakes. hey, nobody's IMMACULATE.
  • LINDSAY. i'm wondering how your job is goind (if you've started). even though you only earn a PITTANCE, its still decent pay. its almost as much as Chuck got ($11/hr). however, i'm sure those horses have a PUNGENT smell. fun. but your VEHEMENCE for horses might make you ignore the smell.
  • Well, now i'm a bit HAGGARD from lack of sleep and i long to LOLL in my bed and doze off.
  • OH BTW DANNY!! D: i rue the fact that he got kicked off, but i saw it comming. we all love joo.
so thats about it.
GA'NITE.

p.s. be amazed by my use of wordly wise words. mrs. jackson just did that in class and i wanted to try. i think i might do that every time i blog.

Stress.

kirstie says that music is supposed to be a release, not a place of stress. well, what if it does stress me? what if sometimes, music makes me want to tear my hair out from my scalp? what if sometimes music makes me hate some of my closer friends? then what? should i stop? sometimes the stress is way too hard on me. makes me give in to feelings of failure. it makes me stop and consider why i am even first chair. why me? my passion for trumpet, no where near as "others" who are more deserving of the place. first chair is a degrading place to be when others deserve it more than you.

then i think about the positives. music is a good release. music is energizing. music is the only thing i'm actually slightly passionate about. nothing else. its also my ONE "talent" i LOVE music. music is my life. well. music, food, friends, fam, and homework are my life. but, without music i would be nothing.

i want to give up, but at the same time i never want to quit.

why is life so confusing?

I can see the sun.

You know what I love? the fact that at 8:00 PM today, i realized it was still sunny out. I love that feeling, cause it reminds me that summer is just around the corner. like, there are only THIRTY SIX days left of school. INCLUDING WEEKENDS. that's almost a month. summer's only in a bit over a month. camp. high school.
scary eh?

on a different note, you know the movie brother bear? everybody hates it, but i really like it. its soo sad. i just got to the part when he tells koda he killed his mother. wah. and his brother is still trying to kill him.

i haven't been keeping up with idol lately, but i hope danny doesn't leave tonight, apparently he did the worst last night. oh well.

this was a short one, but there isn't much to say. so, tah tah.

HAI.

howdy. seems like its been a while since i've last blogged a.k.a. like a day or two,

so here's how my life has been going since we've last chatted.

okay. friday was a typical friday but i went to libby's house with lauren and like biked every freaking where. we went around her block then around another block then we went to the gas station to fill up the flat bike then we biked to my house then we biked back to her house then we biked to lacey and then we biked around lacey then we biked back to her house. see. lots and lots of biking. we also pogo hopped to the gas station (there was a pogo stick, a scooter, and a flat bike on our trip to the station). laugher ensued. libby eventually gave up and rambo-ed it (ran around and pretended it was a machine gun). we also saw ilana in her car and made it so that she wouldn't notice us. she didn't. WIN. then i biked home (in the rain :D) and went to bed.

YES IT WAS AT 8 THANK YOU VERY MUCH

so pretty much it was epic. except for the fact that the pogo stick gave me the WORST BLISTERS EVER. piece of advice: if you go extreme pogo sticking (and this is only for PROGOs) wear gloves.

so that was friday. now today, i woke up around 9 and then went to galleria for grad dress. found one. not telling anyone what it looks like. only time will tell. TAKE THAT SUCKERS. and then i came home and baked some really amazing choco chip cookies. oh btdubs, at the galleria i bout that fall out boy cd with the bears on it that i have no idea how to spell or say the name. like said fole-eee ah doo. and i got some new socks. they are vans socks. they are checked and like neon. pretty freaking sweet.

OKAY IMMA GO. LATES.

epic fail day.

in n out day. the single day of the year when us students can completely indulge ourselves in food that tastes decent. (caf food doesn't count as decent food). Sounds fun? yes. very much fun.

Okay, so umi had this idea to play this game called racecar. its when you spin around really fast and then sit down and make race car sounds. most people fall over--hilarity ensues.

sounds like a pretty epic day right? well it was...we had in n out, then got to play this hilarious game. then we decided to do a spinning-obstacle course-human tetris. pretty much everyone fell down. favorite obstacle: the moving hurdle. vickie and libby i think held hands and moved up and down really fast and the people were supposed to jump over their arms. EVERYBODY got caught. funny funny. then we-ehem-UMI decided it would be fun if we did an extreme version of racecar and spun around 20 times.

we tried, completely oblivious of our completely stuffed stomachs with fast food and the heat. we all fell down and then automatically got nauseated and completely dazed for the rest of the day. best part of the whole thing? i still feel sick.

April 29, 2009

open house. got there at 5. stayed till like 8:30. this tells you how much of a life i have...okey. so with band we played a bunch of stuffs. jazz i had a solo and it was very weird cause noah held up the mic for me and like, there was a weird-o echo so it screwed me up a little :/ well at least people said i was good.

i have made a decision. i am SO DOING MARCHING BAND. like omg, most fun ever. i talked to molly folsom and adela (juniors in band who play trumpet) and they were all cool and said that we need to join cause they're loosing 6 senior trumpets next year. god. gonna be hard to fill those shoes. only wind ensamble and orchestra go on tours which makes me mad cause i am nowhere near good enough to join, and apparently orchestra for trumpets is like 34645736245 bars of rests, and then you play like 3 notes. BUT THEY'RE GOING TO ITALY. ITALY FOR GODS SAKE. I WANNA GO TO ITALY. so unfair.

open house was kind of a bust. we played, then i went and had to play more, then i had to put away everything, and before i knew it, all my friends were gone T.T so then i went to nitta and saw lindsay and walked around with her fambam for a while.

PS ALEX I AM SO JEALOUS THAT YOU GOT A NEW IPHONE AND BAHH GO DIE.

well. this just might be my worst blog ever. haha. fail.

I NEEDA DO MATH NOW SO BUH-BYE

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Okely dokely. brief overview of day.
-woke up for wind ensamble. played very badly. stupid dr. mcdaniel made us play patton when there was like two seconds left of band and made all of us late.
-went to homeroom. got to sad part of kite runner. cheer for eden for getting good citizenship brekfast. go to english. laugh at speed leigh is going on crutches.
-do boring english AND BUY NEW WW BOOK FOR 20 BUCKS. what a rip off. do english-y stuff.
-go to math. laugh when mrs. thor goes AND WHAT IS B, JAY? HAHA B.J. she is way too innocent. laugh at the faces eden and manda made when mrs. thor said that they were like "ahahaha..ha..ha...i don't get it." GET OUT OF THE ROOM FIRST FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. and probably last.
-snack break it.
-go to sci. have a party with the FREAKING MOST KICK ASS FOOD ON THE PLANET.
-go to goldstein...blech...EW. HER FACE. LOOKING AT IT MAKES MY EYES BURN. listen to oratorical people GO MK. she needs to be louder. finish some hw.
-go to lunch where i ate some fruit and threw the rest and umi and lindsay. OMG KENT GO AWAY YOU ARE FREAKING ANNOYING. AND YOUR JOKES ARE NOT FUNNY. have the most epic lunch ever. why it was epic: throw the bottle extreme version. eden sagging A LOT. me falling off the bench while being AWW FRIENDSHIP HIGH. haha. eden drooling EVERYWHERE. bell rings and leigh says something leigh-ish. alex and manda not being as innapro-pro as normal. okay.
-PE time. 2 600s and then golf. golf was also epic cause of: the invention of the word chunkles, umi being horrible, me hitting the cone!, chuckles hitting her tee out every time, me tearing up the grass, matt pierce being matt pierce-y, accidentally hitting umi in the ankle with my golfing skills.
-now science. not exciting. i organized papers. the end. TEST TOMOROW. space is fun.
-and then i got home and took a nap. no, first i went to libby's house and she answered the phone like five times. one time she talked like obama, one time she talked like a british person, one time she plugged her nose, and one time she did all three. well thats more like 4. whatever. then i got home and took a nap and did hw. fun eh? now idol's on in 9 min, but imma wait a little.

You can tell by my last three blogs (including this one) i have an infinity for list making. not my problem. i also like punctuation. i don't even remember when i started using punctuation again. like on aim, i actually use periods now and on like fb notes. i should be doing hw. i still have half of history, 2 days worth of science. well thats it. technically, i also need to do math, but thats hopeless seeing i left my workbook in class. right now i'm talking to lindsay.

Chuck Versus the Ring.

Oh Charles Bartowski. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. But really, this finale was the mother of all finales. A wedding? A surprising twist? A huge gunfight? Slight closure, but then another twist? Love? Hate? And last but certainly not least, a kick butt kung fu fight at the end. And the best part? He was wearing Chuck's while kicking butt. And finally, a cliffhanger. One of the most aggravating, yet intriguing film inventions made. Yes. This episode in my opinion was a FREAKING HUGE SUCCESS.

Now lets point out some major things:
1. The ruturn of Bryce Larkin, Chuck's mortal enemy.
2. CHUCK QUITTING THE BUYMORE :D
3. Ellie and Awesome's wedding being killed by Roark.
4. Sarah giving up Bryce for Chuck.
5. Finding out Chuck's dad also has an intersect in his brain.
6. The death of Bryce, the man who NEVER DIES. Until now. D:
7. The New intersect being invented which led to:
8. Chuck being able to UPDATE and like kung fu ness.
9. The end being "To be contined..."

Now the EPIC things:
1. Return of Bryce to the show, both good and bad.
2. Sarah admitting to Chuck that she loves him.
3. Chuck having flashbacks.
4. THE NEW INTERSECT.

Now the HIGH-LAIR-EE-OUS things:
1. Emmet saying "I am flattered but I am a FLAMING heterosexual."
2. Chuck: "Guys can hug." Casey: "Not if they don't have their man parts."
2. Jeffster preforming Domo Arigoto Mr. Roboto
3. Casey's MAN VOICE in the plane with his buddies.
4. Chuck's cute stumble in when he's giving the rings.
5. "Guys I know Kung Fu."

Ok, for an assessment. This show was the ultimate end. No doubt about it.

I think that the cliffhanger meant that it is DEFFINATELY being thought about for a third season. Only time can tell. And viewers. Things you can do to help save Chuck.
  1. Watch Chuck episodes on Hulu.com and NBC.com
  2. Buy Chuck Season 1 and Pre-order Season 2
  3. Write NBC a letter, send Nerds candy to NBC, and Twitter using hash tags #chuck and #savechuck
  4. Lastly, tell all your friends to do the same!

Blog Numero Uno.

CAUTION.
THIS BLOG MAY CONTAIN DRAGGING PLOTLINES, INSIDE JOKES AND REFERENCES THAT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, HARSH LANGUAGE, AND VIOLENCE TOWARDS SOMEONE NAMED GOLDSTEIN. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

You know what I hate? Well I hate a lot of things, but right now i am hating when your cursor thing (the little blinky line that tells you where you are when you're typing) suddenly disappears. Like, seriously, why does it even do that. It doesn't help anything AT FREAKING ALL. Okay, enough ranting for today.

So er hi! :) I'm Liana...I don't really know what to say now. As you can tell, I am obviously not a talented blogger. My life isn't really exciting enough for stuff like this. My blog for like the week will probably consist of: "go to school, get home, take nap, tv, hw." Sounds exciting? I thought so.

So why make a blog? Well earlier, my friend Lindsay made a blog (go and read her's, she wants readers/viewers/creepers) so i decided, why not.

Today is the day that my favorite TV show ends. Yes, it is the death of the show CHUCK. This is a horrible tragedy, that one of the best, funniest, addicting TV shows is ending because it doesn't get enough viewers. Like, Chuck is WAY more educational than the stupider shows today like "Gossip Girl" or "90210" or even the dreaded "The Hills." Why should a TV show like this end when all these horrible shows that pretty much consist of lies, attractive people, fighting, money, drugs, and sex still go on, and this innocent TV show just dissapears.

Well, Chuck starts in 15 min, and I should get some homework done.

Uh...I don't really know how to sign off of a blog...
erm BAI.
